This week, the daily highs will be the hottest we’ve seen so far this summer.
The National Weather Service predicts Monday’s high to be 104, followed by 107 on Tuesday and 106 on Wednesday. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Austin will start to cool down with highs of 103, 100 and 99, respectively.
This string of highs reaching 100 and more will be 12 days in a row, the longest stretch Austin has seen this year. The last string of hot days was three days shorter, from June 24 through July 5.
The NWS has issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. Monday. Check online to see if heat advisory are extended at weather.gov/ewx/.

There are 34 public pools in the Austin Parks and Recreation, which includes 7 regional pools, 3 community pools, 22 neighborhood pools, 1 wading pool and Barton Springs Pool.
