'We are going in the right direction'- Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton secured P3 in Canada and said post-race: “It’shonestly been a great weekend for us, we’ve been slowly chipping away, I thinkthe Astons took a little bit of a step ahead when they added the upgrades butwe are working on bringing some more moving forwards but just to have this consistencyand be up on the podium up here in Montreal which is such an incredible city,we’ve got such a great, great crowd here every single year without fail so bigbig thank you to everyone here.
On the team’s recent upgrades and the progress made, he added: “Firstlyquite an honour to be up there with two world champions, I was really excitedto be third and be in that mix. But unfortunately we didn’t have the pace todayI think where we struggled is we knew going into this weekend this wouldn’t beour strongest circuit, as we struggle in the lower speed corners particularly andthat’s really where I was losing to Fernando and to Max just on traction out ofpretty much every corner.
"We've got a lot of work to do, adding rear downforceto the car and a little bit more efficiency but we are chipping away and like Isaid I do think we will get there at some stage. We are going in the right direction."

'It was an amazing battle' - Alonso
Fernando Alonso, who finished second at the Canadian GrandPrix, on whether that was the race he expected: "Probably yes I think we were hoping tochallenge the Red Bulls. We lost a place at the start with Lewis. It was a battle withthe Mercedes and Lewis was pushing all race, I didn’t have a lap were I could relax a little bit. It was an amazing battle.
On his battle with Lewis Hamilton: "At the beginning I had a bit more pace but atthe end I think Lewis had a bit more pace. It was a bit tough. It was a verydemanding race, all 70 laps.
On any issues with his car: "I don’t know, the team didn’t tell me. Maybeit was so I don’t worry too much. I don't know, I felt the car was ok, I just followedinstruction. Maybe we have a bit more pace so for the next one, we can put morepressure on Max."

'100th GP win for Red Bull incredible'- Verstappen
Max Verstappen equals Ayrton Senna’s record of 41 race wins and said post-race in Montreal: “Of course very happy right now it was not a very straight forwardrace because the tyres were not getting into their window, it was very coldtoday compared to Friday and we were sliding around quite a bit but we made itwork and to win again today and to win the 100th Grand Prix for theteam that’s incredible.”
On earning Red Bull’s 100th victory for the team,he added: “It’s amazing, I mean I never expected to be on these numbers myself soyou know we keep enjoying working hard, and today has been a great day as well.
And on if he thought this would be the expected outcome of the race, he said: “Firstly,I expected more or less of what we had today but it was like I said reallydifficult to keep the grip and temperature into the tyres because the temperaturewas disappearing very quickly which was maybe why the gap wasn’t that big but overallwe won and that’s the most important.
“They (the fans) are so passionate the sport especially withthe rain hanging in there was so great to see and we love coming here andhopefully we can keep doing this for a ling time.”
