In 1941. he married Rowena Vaile. and they shared 58 years together Harry served in the Pacific during WWII and the Korean War. and retired from the Navy Reserves 1971 as a in Chief Petty Officer He worked for over 25 years as a millwright with the American Can Co in North Kansas City After retiring from the American Can Co. he began a second career as a millwright with General Motors at the Leeds Assembly Plant and retired in 1987.

Harry was proud of his military service as well as his career as a millwright. For over 30 years, Harry was dedicated to his farm, garden and cattle. He took great pleasure in sharing the vegetables from his large garden. Harry was preceded in death by his wife. Rowena, sisters, Georgette Fanning and Evelyn Tope, and brothers, Stanley, Lee and Melvin Beyer.

He IS survived by his son, Harry. Jr. and wife, Judy, Lee's Summit. MO. granddaughter.

HUSKEY, SR. Hyrum H. Huskey, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. following a period of failing health at a nursing home in Yukon, OK. He was born April 2, 1921, in Cameron, MO, to Walter and Ellen Day Huskey and grew up in Missouri.

He lived most of his life in Missouri before moving to Tonganoxie, KS, and then to Oklahoma after his retirement as a truck driver for both United Transand Jack Cooper Transport. He served his country in the US Marine Corps and was a member of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Huskey was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary Huskey, both his parents, his sister, and one son, Martin Huskey.
